Yamato Academy of Martial Arts has been offering instruction and training in Karate since 2006. Located in Oakville, Ontario, Yamato Academy of Martial Arts has produced champions in life as well as in the martial arts. The academy is headed by Chief Instructor Essi Lak, 5th dan in Goju-Ryu and 3rd dan Japan Karate Federation (JKF).

At Yamato, we aim not only to teach martial arts but also do it in a way that results in the personal growth of our members of all ages. Our students not only get active and exercise, but also learn how to respect one and other, listen carefully, focus and learn about teamwork.
